This embroidery is taken from the sleeve of a woman's Ikhtiman shirt. The overall composition is elbetic, with the eight cardinal directions of the world clearly expressed. Vespa represents the spiral of life, expressed through the roots of the floral elements - tulip. The root is always twisted like a spiral, symbolizing new life developing and fertility. From the roots, in the four cardinal directions are the blooming tulips, which are one of the precursors of spring. The process of growth is always associated with flowering, which in turn symbolizes fertility.
In the center of the embroidery is the symbol of the mother goddess from whom life originates. The flowers of the tulip are represented by two parts, the inner one expressing the feminine and the outer one, which is shaped like wings, the masculine that protects. Around them are embroidered images of the sun, which, according to beliefs, bestows life.
The small petals surrounding the heavy colors of the floral elements are particularly characteristic of the Ikhtiman embroidery, always forming the embroidery in some geometric shape - circle, square or rectangle.
